Corrections Policy
Effective October 25, 2026
Becoming Chinese welcomes specific, evidence-based corrections. Reports are evaluated on the substance of the claim rather than the identity or viewpoint of the person submitting it.
How to report an issue
A verified public corrections inbox has not yet been configured, so this page does not publish an invented or unmonitored address. The site operator should configure a working public channel before the next production release. Please do not send sensitive personal information through an unofficial third-party channel.
What helps us investigate
- The full URL of the affected page.
- The precise sentence, table row, link, date, or instruction in question.
- The jurisdiction, passport, app version, city, or audience involved, when relevant.
- A direct link to the responsible authority or another strong source.
How reports are handled
- We compare the report with the cited evidence and the page's stated scope.
- For dynamic rules, we check the responsible authority or provider.
- If a material error is confirmed, we correct the article and update its displayed date.
- If evidence is incomplete or conflicting, the page may be clarified or marked for review.
What counts as a material correction
A material correction changes a fact, instruction, eligibility condition, safety statement, price or limit, attribution, or other conclusion that could affect a reader's understanding or decision. Minor spelling, punctuation, or layout fixes do not reset an article's verification date.
Urgent situations
This correction process is not an emergency or professional-advice service. Contact the relevant authority, emergency service, clinician, lawyer, financial institution, or service provider when a decision is time-sensitive or safety-critical.
